Marblehead, MA, June 10, 2004 - Artists + Authors is pleased to announce that we have been voted a bookstore category local winner in the Community Newspaper Company's 2004 Readers Choice Awards. The CNC Readers Choice Awards are determined by a voluntary reader poll and are designed to give communities the opportunity to credit their favorite local places and businesses. More than 300,000 votes were cast this year during February and March.
In February, the Community Newspaper Company published ballots in many of their newspapers throughout Eastern Massachusetts and online at www.townonline.com/choice. Readers were asked to vote for their favorite businesses in more than 70 local and regional categories. Results were recorded and tallied by an independent firm. According to CNC, the Readers Choice poll enables the company to provide communities with information about the businesses, products and services that CNC readers value most.
Artists + Authors received an honorable mention award in the bookstore category which consisted of national chain, independent, new, used, and antiquarian bookstores. As an independent antiquarian bookstore we are particulary pleased with the results and would like to offer our sincere thanks and appreciation to all of the loyal customers who voted for Artists
